Bruno rents a small court in Bat-Yam and starts producing cleaning products.
During this period Bruno notes that there is a great demand for detergent and disinfection for the toilets, which leads to producing the first product in the plant, a powder for cleaning toilets named "Sano”

Bruno separates the production activity from the marketing activity. The production plant is named "Sano", as is the name of the company's first product.
The name "Sano" is derived from the Latin saying :
"Mens sana in corpore sano",
which means "a healthy mind in a healthy body"

1972
The demand for products continues to grow and requires a transition to a larger production plant.
Alex Landsberg, the son of Bruno, is responsible for setting up an innovative factory in Hod HaSharon, which continues to be the company's main production site today.
The factory opened its gates with 50 employees.

1975
Sano recognize the need for domestic insecticide products, which leads to setting up a new production line
of effective pest control products accompanied by the slogan:
"Do it yourself."
The K line of products is becoming a leading brand in household insecticides and the K-300 becomes synonymous to a cockroaches killing substance.

Sano is issued to the public and its shares are listed for trade
on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

Sano is one of the first companies
to stop using Freon gas,
which damages the ozone layer, in its spray products.

1988
Bruno wins the industry prize
for his vision and his great contribution to the Israeli industry.

1991
Alex Landesberg becomes Sano’s CEO.
Alex leads the Company to new achievements by
developing new categories that make Sano
the leading Israeli company in the field of non-food consumer goods.

1993
November 4 is the first day of commercial television broadcasts. This is a historic and exciting day.
The first ad to be broadcasted on commercial television
was the funny advertisement for the Sanomode air freshener,
a product that is one of Sano's most successful products to date.

1995
Sano enters into an entirely new category - laundry products.
The laundry brand is given the name "Sano Maxima"
and the company develops a wide range of products
that include laundry powders and laundry softeners.
The innovation, the quality of the products and their customization to the needs of the Israeli audience make Sano Maxima a leading brand in Israel.

1996
The invention of the "Sano Javel" series of products revolutionizes Israel.
The old-fashioned bleach gives way to the "bleach of the 2000s".
The development of perfumed bleach, which also contains
fat solvents, is becoming a huge success within a few weeks. Since then, almost every home in Israel holds a product of the Sano Javel line of products.

1999
Sano begins to produce cost-effective filling bags
for a variety of products.
Sano is the first company in Israel to launch
filling bags that reduce the volume of plastic waste by tens of percent,
thus contributing to the preservation of the environment.

2011
Yuval Landsberg, son of Alex and grandson of Bruno,
is appointed CEO of the Company.
Yuval joined the company in 1996.
Over the years he has climbed the ladder of positions and prior to his appointment as CEO, he served as the Company's VP of Trade.

As of 2017, Sano produces more than 700 products, employs more than 1,600 employees and increases its export worldwide.
The Company continues to develop innovative products in order to facilitate everyday tasks and improve the quality of life of consumers in Israel.
